Simon began his banking career in the City of London in 1987. He spent 18 years with BBVA (London, Jersey and Zurich) and a further 5 years with Rothschild Bank (Zurich).
During his banking career Simon has occupied several senior management roles including Private Banking Manager, Legal and Compliance Officer, Head of Internal Control and Group Head of Emerging Markets. He has also been appointed member of the board of directors of a bank and a bank owned trust company.
Simon attended St. Phillips Preparatory School (London), The London Oratory School (London), Birkbeck College of the University of London (London) and the OU Business School (UK). He has been a member of the Chartered Instistute for Securities and Investment since 2000 and sat on their Swiss Board of Admission between 2010 and 2012.
Vasco began his career in the Financial sector in the city of Lisbon in 1994, when he started working as a Broker for Fincor-Sociedade Corretora, SA. In 1997 he went to work for BBVA (Portugal) where he remained for 18 years.
During his career at BBVA he held the position of Dealer in the Lisbon Dealing Room (5 years), Account Manager (2 years), Financial Advisor (3 years and a half) and Manager (8 years). From July 2016 he has been a member of the Board of Directors for Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A.
Vasco graduated from the Universidad Internacional of Lisbon where he completed the higher Course in Banking Management. He later obtained multiple bank certifications by the IFB-Institute of Banking Training, the Euronext Lisbon and the Portuguese Insurance Academy, among others.
Elsa Castro began her long and distinguished banking career at Caixanova, where she worked for 10 years, one year in Spain and the remaining nine in Portugal. At the end of that time she decided to join Novobanco (formerly Banco Espírito Santo), where she remained for another 9 years. She ended her banking career at Bankinter.
Elsa held multiple positions, mainly in the Corporate Banking area with roles,like Corporate Banking Manager, Head of Corporate Banking and Head of Corporate and International Business Banking. More recently Elsa has combined consultancy work for a Portuguese Bank based in Madrid with entrepreneurial ventures into business development, project management and tax and business consultancy services through Value Added Partners in Porto. Currently and since January 2021 she is a member of the Board of Directors of Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A.
Elsa holds a degree in Economics from the University of Porto, a postgraduate degree in Financial Analysis and a MBA in International Business from IESIDE Business School (formerly Caixanova Business School). She also completed a Mini MBA at Católica Porto Business School.
Fernando began his career in the Safei Group in 1996, as portfolio manager and head of the fixed income area in Madrid, winning awards for the best investment fund in the various fixed income categories (Expansion Awards) from 1996 to 2000.
After two years as manager of SICAV portfolios at Arcalia (Bancaja’s Private Banking), he joined the investment team at Popular Private Banking. In 2007 and 2008, he was given an AA rating by Citywire for his management of the PBP Medium Term Plus fund, which was one of the best performing funds during the credit crisis.
At the end of 2008, he was recruited by Lombard Odier in Gibraltar, as Discretionary Management Director, Head of Fixed Income and member of the Investment Committee. In 2011, he joined Inverseguros Gestión in Madrid, as Managing Director and Head of Strategy. In mid-2013, he joined Indosuez Wealth Management Europe in Madrid as Investment Manager, focusing on the management of SICAVs and client portfolios.
Fernando has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he specialized in the Public Sector and Financial Markets. Master in Portfolio Management and Financial Markets from the IEB, as a teacher of various subjects, he has taught in various postgraduate and EFPA training courses (IEB, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Faculty of Economics of Zaragoza, ESCA, the Tax Authority, Association of Economists, etc).
Once our owner, Insignium Wealth Managemernt AG, obtained its license to operate in Switzerland in 2012, Aitor Serodio was one of its first employees. Initially he was hired as an intern and after 6 months he became part of the company’s permanent staff in the position of Administrator.
In 2018, Aitor was transferred to the group’s subsidiary in Spain, Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A., as Administrative Officer. His duties included internal administration, regulatory compliance, commercial communication, social networking, documentation and from 2020, Client Advisor.
Aitor studied in Spain before moving to Zurich in 2012. In Switzerland, he completed various specialist training in banking and finance and in 2020 he obtained the European Investment Practitioner Certification (EIP) from EFPA Spain.
Javier began his professional career at Banco Santander in 2017 as a consultant in the Investment area supporting the investment desk.
In 2018 he joined Bloomberg L.P. at its EMEA headquarters in London, in the Global Data area as Data Analyst, covering indices, funds and ETF’s and being responsible for the Iberian and Latin American exchanges as well as product development with Tier 1 banks.
In 2019 Javier was hired by a Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A. as a Data Analyst and Markets and Investments Analyst. He is a permanent member of its Investment Committee and has direct responsibility for data integration, processes and reporting.
Javier has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Malaga and a Masters Degree in International Finance from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB).
Verónica began her professional career in the commercial area of BBVA in 2016, and in 2017 she became part of the Corporate Relations team at Heineken Spain.
In 2019 she joined Indosuez Wealth Management in Madrid, in the Market and Investment Solutions area, supporting the advisory and discretionary management departments. Since 2020 she has been a Market and Investment Analyst at Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A., where she is also a permanent member of its Investment Committee.
Verónica has a double degree in Business Administration and Management + Advertising and PR from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid and a has Masters Degree in Financial Institutions and Markets from CUNEF. She is also a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) since 2019.
Fernando started his career in Safei Gestion in 1998, as the Head of Portfolio Management, specializing in Equity. Two and a half years later he moved to Inversis Grupo, where he started as an Advisor and Equity Analyst, with a wide presence in the media being one of the specialist spokespersons of this new Bank. With the incorporation in 2007 of Inversafei, a Wealth Management area was created, which Fernando co-directed.
During the period 2007-2015, Fernando formed part of Inversis Management, whose main responsibility was the management of Private Banking mandates with an overall volume of 1Bn, including Sicavs and high net worth client portfolios, as well as marketing activities and customer support.
Between 2015 and 2021, Andbank takes over the Private Banking area of Inversis and Fernando specializes his last few years at the bank specializing in socially responsible investment (ESG by its English acronym), from where he launches the Sigma Global Sustainable Impact fund.
Fernando is licensed in Economics by the University of Salamanca, he has a Masters Degree in Asset Management by the IEB, PDG by the IESE (Universidad de Navarra) and has been one of the first person of Spanish origin to have the SASB FSA Credential Level II Candidate and CESGA accreditations ( Certified ESG Analyst).
